Project Linus – “Providing security through blankets”

The Greater Boston Area Project Linus is a 100% volunteer non-profit organization. Its mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gift of new, handmade, washable blankets, quilts and afghans, lovingly created by “blanketeers.” Over 5 million blankets have been delivered since 1998.

  • Blankets can be as small as 36″ × 36” or as large as twin size for teens. The majority of Project Linus blankets are about 40″ × 60″, or what is called “crib size.”
