What is Ruler Work? And How Do I Get Started?
Ruler Work is originally a longarm technique to make uniform shapes while quilting, and now it can be done on a home sewing machine. Using the rulers enable you to easily achieve incredibly smooth lines, curves and motifs to complement your quilts.
Join expert instructor Lisa Driscoll for a lecture demonstration as she presents an overview of the essential tools, tips and techniques for undertaking ruler work on a home sewing machine. As Lisa demonstrates with some of the basic rulers you will see how easy it is to do.
After taking this introduction to Ruler Work lecture you will be better prepared to join us for a hands-on Ruler Work class or even try it on your own.
All sewing machines are different. Whether you plan to sign up for a class or do it on your own, you will need the correct Ruler Foot as well as the correct Rulers. Bring information on the sewing machine you will be using for ruler work, so we will be able to guide you as to what you will need.
