The Red Barn’s quilt features the Destination Caribbean collection by Banyan Batiks for Northcott. Smell the ocean breeze and let the island vibes sweep over you. Broken stripes, diamonds, and other fractalling images combine in a swirling sea of blues, teal, purple, and navy shades. Finished quilt size: 60½” ×72½”

2019 Row by Row Experience – “Taste the Experience”
Our 2019 row pattern was “Pineapple Delight”. The Red Barn Sewing & Yarn Center got ready for summer with some yummy summertime treats! Tropical Fruit Salad, Pina Coladas, Bahama Mama, Pineapple Chicken…
“Pineapple Delight” is fun and easy to piece. The “official” row is a single pineapple block with gold seed beads and the additional projects are a pillow and a two-block wall-hanging. Exclusive Fabric Plates™ by Zebra Patterns will be available in many of the participating shops. Each one is unique! Our exclusive fabric license plate describes quilters who are dedicated and committed to their craft!
2018 Row by Row Experience – “Sew Musical”
Our 2018 row pattern was “Quiltin’ USA!”. Inspired from the Beach Boy song, “Surfin’ USA” the Red Barn Sewing & Yarn Center is ready for summer time FUN! Let’s go Surfin’, Rowin’ and Quiltin’ across the USA!! And for some added FUN…we wrote a song you can sing to the tune of your favorite summer time beach song while making our “Quiltin’ USA!” row! Marilyn Dutton of Merrimac, MA was our 2018 Row by Row winner.
“If everybody was a quilter
Across the USA
Then everybody’d be rowin’
And a quiltin’ all day!”
2017 Row by Row Experience – “On the Go”
Our 2017 row pattern was “Sew Flippin FUN!”. Everyone loves the beach and that is where we all GO for summer time FUN! Kick off your flip flops and stick your toes in the water. Walk barefoot in the sand. Pick up the shells and sea glass strewn along the beach. Our row has it all – the drunkards path block creates the meandering sand and water. The block can be pieced the tradition way or machine appliquéd the fusible way. An embellishing kit with little flowers for the flip flops, beads for sea glass and sea shell buttons are included to complete your row. Our pattern features the row, and two bonus projects. Add our exclusive license plate to a nine-patch block unit and create a Sew Flippin FUN banner. Nancy Rogers of Amesbury, MA was our 2017 Row by Row winner.
2016 Row by Row Experience – “Home Sweet Home”
Our 2016 row pattern was, “Welcome Home”. Whether you are visiting family, a service person returning from duty, moving into a new home or just stepping through your front door after a long day, what better way to be greeted than with our Welcome Home, red, white and blue flag! Our pattern features the row, and two bonus projects. Turn your row into a table runner, a wall hanging or add our license plate to one block unit and create your own Welcome Home banner! Marilyn Dutton of Merrimac, MA was our 2016 Row by Row winner.
2015 Row by Row Experience -“H2O”
Our 2015 row pattern was “Fishbowl Fantasy”. Sew many fish…sew many fishbowls! We couldn’t stop at just making three fishbowls so we filled up 15 of them with different fish fabrics. Marilyn Dutton of Merrimac, MA was our 2015 Row by Row winner.
2014 Row by Row Experience – “Sew a Season”
Our 2014 row pattern was “Hole in the Barn Door”. We could not pick just one season so we “sewed ALL the seasons”… spring, summer, fall and winter!
Nancy Rogers of Amesbury, MA was our 2014 Row by Row winner!
