Schoolhouse Shop Hop

It’s back to school time!
Gather all your quilting “classmates” and kick off spring with a fun-filled, prize-packed shopping spree on the Schoolhouse Shop Hop, from Friday March 23 to Sunday March 25, 2012.
Register at one of the “Schoolhouse” quilt shops, starting January 9, 2012. Upon payment of the $7.00 tuition, you will receive a booklet with shop information, your first FREE quilt pattern, and a bonus gift (while they last).
Travel “The Learning Loop”...beginning March 23th, visit the participating shops to get your booklet stamped during this three-day event. Collect up to 5 FREE quilt patterns, enter the daily door prize drawing, and sample tasty refreshments. Take time to watch demos that will teach you some tips, tricks and techniques that will help you with your quilting.
Participants who present a fully stamped booklet, no later than 5:00pm Sunday, March 25th will receive a diploma and a graduation gift, and will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing.
A portion of all passport sales will be donated to Juvenile Diabetes.
Taco Soup
1 pkg (1 1/3 lb) ground turkey 93%- 97% fat free1 onion, chopped
1 pack Taco Seasoning
1 pack Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing
1 28 oz can diced tomato
1 10 oz can Rotelle Tomato (original one good)
1 14 oz can chicken broth
1 15 oz can each Black Beans, Dark Kidney Beans, Light Kidney Beans, Garbanzo Beans, Pinto Beans (or any combination of beans that you like)
1 can corn
Sauté the ground turkey and onions. Add the tomatoes, broth, taco seasoning and Hidden Valley seasoning. Bring to a low "boil" then simmer for 15 - 20 minutes. Drain and rinse the beans and corn. Add to the meat mixture. Bring to a low "boil" then simmer for an additional 15 - 20 minutes. Makes 4 - 5 quarts.
Note - If you are in a hurry, you can add all the ingredients to the sautéed meat, heat thoroughly and skip the simmering. Flavor is better with simmering.
I try to use low sodium ingredients
